Study population

The study enlisted 508 participants. The sampling frame include general public from different educational background in order to examine their behavior regarding self-medication during covid-19.

Inclusion criteria

General public was included regardless of gender, education, ethnicity, religion and socioeconomic class. Only those who agreed to participate in the study were enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Participants <18 years were excluded from the study.

Data collection

Data collection was done after extensive literature review. A standardized questionnaire was developed. All sections of the questionnaire (sociodemographic characteristics , knowledge ,prevalence ,drug taking behavior) were developed using data published in the literature since the covid-19 outbreak began. To make questionnaire more objective it was forwarded to subject experts/academicians for content validation. SPSS software was used to organize and analyze the data. Data was collected from public through face to face interview using self administered questionnaire.
